The County of San Diego required several road improvements before a new housing development could be deemed complete. Two dead end roads had to be improved and connected over an existing river channel. The project involved the following improvements:

• Clearing and grubbing an existing canyon
• Continuous bypassing of an active waterway during construction
• Over-excavation and removal of unsuitable soils
• Importing and compaction of select fill materials
• Cast in-place concrete footings and installation of precast culvert hydro arch bridge
• Various storm drain installations
• New water and sewer mains
• Retaining walls
• Enviro flex channel erosion system
• New roadway construction, paving, trails, fencing and sidewalks
