The Rancho San Diego Pump Station is located just off of a rural street owned and maintained by the County of San Diego. This station is a strategic element for the county and receives the majority of the flow from the Rancho San Diego community. TC Construction was tasked with installing an intricate bypass for the life span of the project. Flows ranged from 1.5 MGD to 4.9 MGD with 271 feet of head. The project required complete replacement of all pumps, piping and electrical infrastructure,  demolition of several rooms, and restoration of the front of the pump station. Three new horizontal chopper pumps, one new chopper mixer, and 450 KW back-up generator were installed to manage future expansion of the sewer system. The station was also fitted with a completely new HVAC system, air conditioning, new electrical gear with VFDs, new tile roof, and painting of both interior and exterior sides of the station.
