Our July field lunch was provided to the crew at the Clairemont Mesa East Improvements 2 project. Ken Schutt was honored as our Employee of The 1^st Quarter of 2024. As an oiler to the excavator operator, Ken is responsible for insuring safe operation of the excavator, maintaining line and grade of the pipeline, and safe operation around utilities. Ken was nominated by his foreman, Richard Hubbard, because he is reliable, works well with the rest of the crew, shows innovation and works hard. Thank you Ken, TC Construction appreciates the qualities you bring to work everyday in such a critically important position. In addition, the crew was recognized for their outstanding attention to safety during the month of June.

The Clairemont Mesa East Improvements 2 project, is one of many similar projects contracted by the City of San Diego to replace aging infrastructure. Sewer and water pipeline in this area of Clairemont Mesa was originally installed around 1959. This project will replace 1000 feet of 8 inch sewer main and laterals, and 16,000 feet of 8–16 inch water main and appurtenances.
