Description

TC Construction was contracted by Suffolk-Roel to provide critical infrastructure for the construction of a 40+ story commercial high rise building and a large parking structure. The project required exposing 350 feet of a live 72 inch PLRCP sewer trunk main that was at depths in excess of 50 feet. After exposing the sewer trunk main, a geo-foam and slurry protection cap was created to allow the parking structure to be constructed above it.

The project also included:

  • Construction of 95 feet tall, 16 x 16 feet cast in place concrete access manway, during live, uninterrupted 72 inch sewer flows
  • Design-Build soldier pile shoring walls
  • Mass excavation and grading
  • Relocation and new installation of storm drain lines
