Description

TC Construction was contracted by the City of Escondido to demolish several existing facilities and make improvements to their HARRF treatment plant. Main items included in the project were:

  • Demolition of existing buildings and installation of new sludge drying pits
  • Retrofit of existing head works facility with new bar screen ladder system
  • New 500 gallon polyethylene chemical storage tank and injection facility
  • New 2500 CFM odor control system and associated piping
  • Installation of various mechanical piping and valves throughout the WWTP
  • Retrofit equipment anchoring systems for earthquake protection
  • Remove and replace 640 linear feet of existing gravity sewer main with new 26 inch HDPE
  • 2.5 MGD sewer bypassing
  • Installation of 440 linear feet of new 24 inch, above grade, steel pipeline and connections
  • Demolition of existing pumps and piping in the pump station
  • Installation of 6 new vertical turbine sewage pumps
  • Reroute of new 8 inch PW and 12 inch RW water lines
  • Construction of new screenings building
  • New electrical and control infrastructure for added functionality throughout the site

HARRF Pump Station - concrete work
