Description

The Castlerock development is located on the north side of Mast Blvd in Santee. Although the City of Santee and Padre Dam water are involved in the inspection process, ultimately the City of San Diego will be responsible for the newly installed infrastructure. The community will include nearly three hundred homes, a 4-acre public park, pocket parks, a multi-use hiking trail and public streets.

The scope of work included:

  • 14,500 linear feet of 8 – 96 inch RCP/PVC/HDPE/CMP storm drain main
  • 160 minor concrete structures
  • 10 underground storm trap detention vaults
  • 11 modular wetland BMP units and 12 precast concrete water polishing units
  • Sewer system included 10,500 linear feet of 6 inch main, 54 sewer manholes and 272 residential PVC sewer services
  • Domestic water system included 19,600 feet of C900 PVC main with 463 associated laterals and appurtenances
  • A reclaimed water system was also available from the City of San Diego which included 5,430 linear feet of 8 inch C900 PVC, 14 irrigation services and related laterals
  • A separate fire system loop was installed to service the the affordable housing section, this included 4,530 linear feet of 8 inch C900 PVC main
  • 13 three-way fire hydrant assemblies and 4 complete reduced pressure detector assembly backflow preventers
