Alvarado Trunk Sewer Design Build

Scope of Work
- Installation of two 66" jack and bore tunnels for the relocation of the Alvarado Trunk Sewer Main
- The line was upsized from 24" clay pipe to new 36" PVC
- Installed several large diameter sewer manholes, 8" sewer main, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, revegetation and monitoring
Unique Aspects
- The project was located in a residential neighborhood and in an environmentally sensitive area
- The project required archeological, palentological, and biological monitoring as well as noise monitoring and mitigation
- Installed two large redundant bypass setups which were hardlined and ran 24 hours per day
- The project also required extensive groundwater dewatering as we traversed directly adjacent to and crossed underneath the Alvarado Creek twice
